Pleonastic Ephemera

6.03.2004

Wow, in 20 minutes it'll be Friday, and another week in which I've more or less neglected my loyal, patient blog. Things just flew by what with Monday being Memorial Day and a reason for the Philharmonic to play a free concert at St. John's (and for me to see it) and for a Manhattan-style bbq (= tiny fragile grill on a terrace five stories above Broadway that takes 20 minutes to cook chicken -- but it was worth it!); Tuesday being the day on which the first of my stories was to be critiqued in class but wasn't because time (my oldest foe) ran out; Wednesday being the day on which I scramble to do more than a half-assed job on my assignments for Thursday's class while still finding time to play Halo using the big-ass projector and screen at the office; and Thursday being the day on which my story was discussed and I get to feel both proud of the compliments and also skeptical of my ability to ever nail down that elusive quality known as 'good writing'.

Tomorrow I will leave work early to travel via the most romantic and relaxing mode of transportation down the Northeast Corridor to ol' Virginny, where I will eat, read, write, and sleep late, unless my family wants me to get up early to do stuff, which they almost certainly will.
