No posts over the weekend because I was back home in Virginia. I did my taxes, which got a little complicated what with the partial residencies and self-employment, etc. But at least I, you know, started.
Saturday Brandon and I went to a regatta at Sandy Run, where we used to row in high school, for the first time in years. The wind was chilly and the water choppy: the first-of-the-year Polar Bear regatta, just as I remembered it. Brandon knew a few people, but I didn't recognize anyone. Also saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I recommend. It's best to see it with a, well, spotless mind, so I won't synopsize. Kate Winslet is superb, and Charlie Kaufman is pretty damn talented. |
