My venerable Cunix account expires in about three hours. I remember the day I activated it in August, 1999 -- I was pretty damn excited to get my own address @ columbia.edu. Looking through the old saved emails, I found some pretty good stuff, like one from a drunk Steve Duncan promising to show me the famed campus tunnels after I (also drunk) posted to the columbia.org.ultimate newgroup asking about them; one from Sonic Boom apologizing for the posters I ordered being late; and of course, a couple dozen discussing in detail the arrangements and preparations for not one, but two! kick-ass illegal raves. Good times. The new address is the same before the @ (i.e. wjb24) and the domain is nyct.net. |
