This is pretty ridiculous. Yay for America's puritanical holdouts from the 19th century, its lawsuit-happy culture of greed, and the intersection thereof.
By the way, work was way more exciting this week. This guy who can't work as a programmer for us anymore due to his repetitive stress injuries from typing spent six months writing a charting package, and guess who gets to take over and add brand new functionality as soon as possible? Inheriting someone else's code sucks. His isn't so bad syntactically (that means he used descriptive object names) but it's still hard to figure out the custom graphics shit he did. Oh, and I like how when he and I agree on a time for him to come in and answer questions and help me figure stuff out, he blows me off. National 40 Day is Monday -- are you ready?? |
