Bleh. Last night was rough. After work I filled up on 1/2 price beer and 99 cent wings at the St Marks Ale House. Everything's hunky-dory for a while, but around 11:00 something went wrong, and I started to feel more nauseous than a blind-folded pregnant woman on a rollercoaster. Seven hours and a few conversations with the toilet later, I finally dozed off, shivering beneath my blanket, even with extra bedclothes on. At some point I turned off the alarm, and so I finally rolled out of bed around 10:30, and went in to work late. Things seem to be more settled throughout the stomach region today, but I've gone real easy on the eating, and I've been entertaining this vision of me and the Slumber Sylph settling down early tonight so that maybe tomorrow I'll feel whole again. We'll see. |
